Zoe Maitland (she/her) works across multiple genres of photography. Her practice is guided by a playful, spontaneous process that explores themes of nostalgia, intimacy, and the fluidity of time. She is originally from Oakland, California, but lives in Eugene, Oregon, where she is pursuing a BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History. She has self-published three Photobooks: Kissing, Eating, Talking (March 2025), Scandinavian Swimmers (January 2025), and Bold Below the Belt (March 2024).
Her recent exhibitions include a solo show, Emotional Taxonomy, at the Foyer Gallery in Eugene, Oregon, as well as group exhibitions such as Expansive Landscapes at Onyx Gallery and When We’re Awake at McMillan Gallery, both in Eugene, OR. Zoe is currently the Executive Photo Editor for a student-run magazine at the University of Oregon and the lead photographer for the UO School of Art + Design.
