I’m a junior at the University of Oregon, majoring in Advertising with a minor in Art. I’m currently an Art Director for Align, a fashion, arts, and culture magazine, where I’ve been on staff for two semesters. Through Align, I discovered my love for art direction. Having always been drawn to fashion, photography, makeup, and styling, I love bringing those elements together with a team to create a cohesive vision. That experience helped me realize a true passion, and I hope to continue pursuing it after college.

I work with a wide range of artistic mediums every day, including painting, collage, graphite and colored pencil drawing, sewing, beadwork, embroidery, and woodworking. I enjoy upcycling clothing and creating new pieces from existing materials, and I even built a stool in my woodshop class. For me, making is always about curiosity and experimentation, and I love exploring new ways to combine ideas, materials, and styles.

I love that there are endless possibilities in creating, with so many ways to approach an idea and so many directions a project can take. Experimenting, combining mediums, and exploring new techniques keeps me excited and constantly learning. Making art is about discovery for me, and I’m always pushing myself to see what I can create next.
