Hi! I'm Kalyx — a painter and mixed media artist from Los Angeles, now based in London, where I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art. For as long as I can remember, art has been a way for me to connect with myself and the world around me. Creating is both a personal and expressive process for me and it's a space where I explore themes of girlhood, culture, romance, and the idea of a higher self. Although I work with a variety of mediums, painting remains at the heart of my practice. I primarily use oil paint because I love the textures and patience it requires. My work often carries feminine undertones, so you'll find lots of saturated pinks, floral motifs, and soft, romantic details woven throughout.
